Summer: The Beat goes on...

As the story goes- time marches on...in more ways than one! I wasn't prepared for the pressure of turning 33! I was also reminded at the Dr. that next year I would turn 34 and if we were to have another one...well its a good time to think about! Ha! So yes Birthday- sure enjoyed the ice-cream cake and ice-cream pie my Aunt Lisa sent! It took 2 weeks to demolish and a set of Missionaries from Church too!

Moving on...

Indoor activities- imagination is ageless- so we create games out of silly things! No- this isn't just my thrifty ideology, although now that I've mentioned it!
 Empty Plastic Bottle Bowling

Sophi loves to help clean, even as I type she is attempting to clean crayons off the door, so quickly applied by little sister Everli!

Here is the best little mess maker Everli...

Come rain or shine they love playing under the umbrella.

After church shenanigans.

Good weather=paint weather

Having Grannie and Papa and Auntie Grace come out from Arizona was a great part of the summer. Yes the weather was amazing, the greenery was dreamy and most importantly we had tons of fun!
We enjoyed meals out, afternoons enjoying the beautiful days and a lot of laughing!

In July my grandpa had passed away- it was a nice relief to be only 7 hours away from my Uncle Joe and Aunt Deb- in Pennsylvania. We ended up enjoying 3 full days of family! Cousins, some we had only met 1-2 times and some, never. We stayed up late laughing and playing games! My brother and cousin Jesse and I grew up close and had some funny memories to relive. Its an amazing thing to be family and celebrate!

Snack time and a beautiful stop on our way home

These pictures were taken as we entered back into Virginia, almost as if time stood still

We seem as parents seem to journey to parks and zoos, really any family friendly places... and this little gem is close to our house and is a bargain :)

We crammed a lot in the summer and enjoyed family time as much as we could! I love the ability to photograph and post our adventures, it seems the good feeling and emotion comes to life when looking at the photos- oh how I love technology!  As usual stay tuned....

Virginia Summer

A little out of season, SURE? Relevant? Always!
We had a great Summer here in Virginia! One of our Favorite adventures was camping. We had this place all to ourselves. Sure there was a $30 dollar toll, roundtrip (yes I'm thrifty) But it was worth it!  Kiptopeke State Park   --->  Its in green :)
was absolutely a dream, pine trees on one side, water on the other! We enjoyed bringing the dogs, who'd thought they'd died and gone to heaven, it took them days to recover! We took a ton of pictures, and well since they tell a better story, here you go!

This one was a self timer- you can't have it all :)

Even looking back on these photos, I can still smell the clean air, and feel the wind that kicks from the water, honestly it was a few days filled with peace and lots of LOVES!
